March 2011
We just returned from Miami where we attended the Staffing Industry Analysts Executive Forum. We talked to many potential clients with many committed to coming on board in the next 60 days. Another big announcement for TalentRooster.com...we have transitioned to a new video player for the website so that users will have a better playback experience with an improvement on quality, speed, streaming, and a more integrated look with the profiles. Please check it out if you haven't done so already.
Technology Updates

We are constantly enhancing TalentRooster, please send us your ideas or suggestions. The following are some features that have recently been rolled out:

  • Last month we rolled out a new video player for the website. The new player provides a quicker start to the playback of the videos and also provides the ability to skip ahead on the video without waiting for it to download. The video will also play now right on the profile so that users can review the profile while the video is playing. The new video player uses Flash technology so users no longer have to use Silverlight to playback the videos.

  • We now have a better, more consistent playback of videos on mobile devices. The video player on the site is fully compatible with the iPad and iPhone devices. The previous player worked with mobile devices but the new version will provide a more consistent experience.

  • We recently added the ability to provide written responses to custom questions to be displayed on profiles in addition to the video interview. If you want this feature for your profiles, let us know and we can provide a new question/reponse page following the candidate registration page. Call us for details.

  • For companies with multiple brands, we now have the ability to associate multiple company/brands under one parent company account so that all recruiters at a firm can see the same database of candidates without having separate logins.

  • We now provide recruiters with "admin" access the ability to change the status of candidates to "inactive" if the candidate has been hired and/or is no longer available. Recruiters can also delete candidate profiles if candidates no longer wish to have a profile or if the recruiter believes the candidate no longer meets hiring standards. The new account control can be accessed via the "Manage Candidates Lite" tool on the "Admin Site" under "Administrative Management."
